Lifeline Vi Alarm Base Unit
The Weymouth Careline package include the Lifeline Vi Alarm unit. This small box is easy can be installed by the alarm user, or a loved one, within a matter of minutes. Simply connect the unit to the mains power, plug it into the telephone socket, and then connect the telephone to the back of the unit with the adapter provided. The alarm unit includes a loudspeaker and microphone, for clear communication between the monitoring team and our alarm users.
MyAmie Pendant
Alongside the main unit, alarm users in Weymouth will also receive the MyAmie Pendant. Like the unit, this device is manufactured by Tunstall and is full of great features. It can be worn around the wrist or around the neck, with the alarm user being able to choose the most comfortable option for them. The pendant can also be worn in the bath and shower as it is waterproof, and can still connect to the base unit whilst outside in the garden - due to a range of up to 100 metres.
Careline Fall Detector
For added security, potential alarm users can choose to go for the Fall Detector plan. This includes the rather stylish Vibby Fall Detector, which is finished in gloss white and black.
The fall detector includes all the great features of the MyAmie Pendant, but actually detects when the wearer has fallen. There is no need to push any button, the Vibby will automatically send an alert through to the monitoring team if the wearer has suffered a fall.
Confirmation that an alert has been raised is clearly shown by an LED light on the device, along with a useful vibration. Of course, alarm users can still press the pendant button if they need help for another reason.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
