The Careline Package in Swansea

It needs to go into the mains power and telephone socket, with the telephone connecting to the back of the unit. Next, the user needs to press the red help button to complete a test call with our monitoring team. The base unit has a loudspeaker, used by the monitoring team, and a built-in microphone system for the alarm user to use.
Pendant Button
The pendant button is a clever little device which can be worn multiple ways. Depending on their preference, the alarm user can choose to wear it around their wrist, or around their neck. The pendant is waterproof, which means the user will still be able to raise an alarm if they slip in the bath. Also, a range of up to 100 metres means that they can also call for help if they trip in the garden. In an emergency, the alarm user simply pushes the red button and the monitoring team will respond.
Vibby Fall Detector
As an alternative, potential alarm users in Swansea can upgrade to the fall detector package. The fall detector automatically detects a fall and sends an alert message through to the monitoring centre. Confirmation that an alert has been raised will be given by an LED light and vibration.
Much like the normal pendant, the fall detector is discreet and stylish. It can also be worn in the bath or shower as it is waterproof.
If the alarm user feels unwell or is concerned about their security at home, they can still press the help button on their pendant - as they would with the regular pendant button.

A member of the team responds immediately and will try to communicate with the alarm user via the loudspeaker. They will assess the situation and try to reassure the alarm user, whilst trying to get hold of their emergency contacts - chosen during the set-up process.
If needed, the monitoring team will also contact the emergency contacts on the alarm user's behalf. Any relevant medical information will be shared with the paramedics.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
