How does the Careline Alarm Work?
An Easy-to-Use Service
Our Careline Alarm service comes with two simple devices: the alarm base unit and the MyAmie Pendant.
Careline Alarm Base Unit
The alarm base unit can be set-up within a few minutes, either by the alarm user or by a loved one. Simply connect the unit to the telephone socket and a power supply, before plugging the telephone into the back of the unit. Complete a short test call by pressing the red button and everything will be ready to go. The alarm base unit has a built-in microphone and loudspeaker for clear, crisp communication.
Pendant Button
The pendant button can be worn around the neck or wrist, depending on the alarm user's preference. It's this small pendant that connects the alarm user to the 24-hour monitoring team. In an emergency, simply press the red button and an alert call will be raised. The pendant will work in the bathroom as it is waterproof, and will also work outside in the garden, thanks to a range of up to 100 metres.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
