In fact, our alarms can be set-up by the alarm user within a few minutes. Our Careline equipment is 'plug-in-and-play' and by pressing just one button our alarm users will find help.
Each alarm user is monitored by a highly-trained, 24-hour team, who will respond immediately in an emergency situation. The monitoring team will speak with the alarm user, assess their situation and call for help. This is done via friends, family or neighbours (emergency contacts) and the emergency services if they are required.
Careline Technology is Easy to Understand!
People who join our service will receive a base unit and a pendant.
Alarm Base Unit
The alarm's base unit is what connects the alarm user to the 24-hour monitoring team. It can be set-up within a matter of minutes, either by the alarm user or by a loved one. It simply needs to be plugged into the telephone socket and a power supply, with the telephone connecting to the back of the unit via an adapter. Once this is complete, a test call can be made by pressing the red help button.
MyAmie Pendant
Alongside the base unit, alarm users will also receive the small and stylish MyAmie Pendant. This little device can be worn around the neck or wrist, and can also be kept on in the bath and shower as it is waterproof. If the alarm user has a fall or feels unwell, they simply press the red button on their pendant. This sends an alert call through to the monitoring team, who will respond via the base unit's loudspeaker.
Careline Fall Detector Plan
Our fall detector plan offers the people of Bournemouth with even more security and confidence. This package includes the new Vibby Fall Detector, which automatically raises an an alert to the monitoring team if the alarm user has a fall. There is no need to press any buttons. Confirmation that an alert has been raised will be given by an LED light and vibration.
It's also easy to cancel an alarm call if it was a false alarm. The alarm user simply needs to stand up or over the face of the Vibby completely with their hands during the 20 second period after a fall has been detected.
Don't worry, alarm users can also press the button on the Vibby Pendant if they feel unwell or are concerned about something at home.

Our service relies on emergency contacts and the emergency services being able to gain access to the home of the alarm user. Although we advise alarm users to have key holders as emergency contacts, in some scenarios the paramedics may arrive on the scene first. If the door is locked then they may have to wait for a key holder in order to gain entry to the house.
A Key Safe changes this. This is a secure metal box which is attached to the exterior wall of the alarm user's home. They can store their house keys behind a secure combination code of their choosing, rather than leaving keys under doormats or plant pots.
We ask all alarm users with a Key Safe to pass their code on to our 24-hour monitoring team. In an emergency situation, they can then pass this on to the paramedics to ensure that they can always gain access to the house. The time saved here can make a huge difference.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
