The fraud police seem to be targeting residents of Radcliffe specifically, but it's best to be cautious regardless. Officers on the GMP Radcliffe Twitter page put out a warning and advised that people should always check to see ID cards of anyone claiming to be from law enforcement. Care home market heading for a crash?
The BBC have reported that we could be seeing the care home market heading for a crash, due to large debts and government cuts. Although the number of beds have increased, the number of care homes has actually fallen by roughly 5%. It is the smaller care homes that seem to be most at risk and therefore closing their doors. Although there are very large care home providers such as; Four Seasons, Bupa, Care UK, Barchester and HC-1, they only control about a fifth of the market.
